Obituary of Joan Clare Larsen
Please share a memory of Joan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joan Larsen, of Rockaway, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 12, 2016. She was 62 years young.
Born in Morristown, she graduated from Morris Catholic High School and went on to Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was very artistic with her needlepoint and crocheting. Joan also loved to fish, especially down the shore. She was an amazing skeet shooter. She was most known for her gardening, whether it was flowers or her amazing vegetable garden, she had a green thumb; her tomatoes were what she was most proud of. Above anything else, she loved to spend time with her soulmate, Leif. She was a phenomenal wife and friend who will be sorely missed.
Left to keep her legacy alive is her beloved husband of 42 years, Leif Larsen; her caring sister, Ann Ducey; her worshiped pups, Nut-Nut, Freckles, and Ruby; and many other extended family and friends.
