Obituary of John Thomas McNichol

John Thomas McNichol, Sr. passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Newark to James and Katherine McNichol. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3359, Kiwanis Club of Denville, Hillside High School Reunion Committee, and the Cedar Lake Fishing Club. John was also a member on the Denville Board of Adjustment. He was a past member of the Cedar Lake Property Owners & Community Club Boards. He had a giant heart and loved animals; he especially enjoyed visiting with his son's horses on their farm. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino with his late wife, Arlene. Above anything else, he adored his family. As his boys were growing up, he made sure he was their Baseball Coach. His family was his real passion in life. He was a phenomenal husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be greatly missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his children, John McNichol, Jr. and his wife Beth, Elizabeth McNichol, and Patrick McNichol and his wife Sheryl; and his cherished granddaughters, Casey and Taylor. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 29th at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, Denville. Interment to follow at Denville Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Thursday, Jan.28th from 4 – 8 pm at Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.
