James "Jim" William Walsh, 77, passed away suddenly at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, with his loving family by his side.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Jim is a longtime Denville Resident. He is an honorable United States Coast Guard Veteran. Retiring in 1998, he was the Supervisor of Property Records for Consolidated Edison for over 40 years; that was his first and last job. A devout Catholic, he was the Senior Alcalde and a very active member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Denville. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer, and very proud of his hole-in-one! Jim was also very musically inclined playing many different instruments including the saxophone, guitar, keyboard, and many others. Above anything else, Jim will be remembered for his love for his family. He was the greatest husband and best friend to his soulmate Millie, an incredible father to his children, and adored grandfather, uncle, cousin, and brother. He will forever live in our hearts and souls.
Predeceased by his sister, Patricia Buchman, and brothers-in-law, Hank Buchman and George Accomando, he is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Millie Walsh; his loving children, Bill (Stacy) Walsh and Laura (Shane) Anderson; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Walsh and Veronica, Christian, and Hannah Anderson; his caring sister-in-law Evey Accomando; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his best friends, Steve and Dave.
