Matthew J. Barrick Jr. passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ on October 31, 2015.
He was 75 years old.
Born in Weehawken, he had lived in Cliffside Park before moving to Denville, NJ many years ago.
Matthew attended the Newark College of Engineering, and was an avid golfer and tennis player.
He also enjoyed going to casinos. He was the owner and operator of Morris County Tobacco and Candy for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris L. (Diegler) Barrick of Clearwater, FL. His loving children Dr.William Barrick and Dana Mayo Goetz of Poughkeepsie, NY, Patricia A. Waugh and Kevin Yampol of Huntington, VT, also survive him. His grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, Tim, Sean and Tara, as well as his sister Barbara (Caesar) Chiaramonte of Wanaque, NJ and his sister in-laws Laura LaMont of Woodland Park, NJ and Peggy Ortiz of Clemmons, NC also survive him.
