Burl H. Cook, 77, of Morristown, passed away suddenly, surrounded by his loving family, at Morristown Medical Center on Sunday, August 23, 2015.
Born in Dover, NJ, Burl is a lifelong area resident. Prior to retiring, he worked as a Custodian at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park for 25 years.
Son of the late Margaret and Burwell Cook, he is survived by his daughter Carol Filimonchuk and her husband Victor of Randolph; his adored grandsons, Nicholas Filimonchuk of Colorado and Matthew Filimonchuk of Virginia; and his devoted cousin Chester Cook of Denville and his children, Steven Cook of Texas and Joanne Leach of Randolph.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 26th from 4-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 27th at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Rockaway Valley Cemetery, Boonton Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denville Fire Department, 2 Indian Road, Denville, NJ 07834. Please share your favorite photograph with a condolence in his memory.
