Heekin Whalen Patricia, a devoted mother, loving sister and grandmother, passed away on Friday July 27, 2012 after a long and brave battle with lung cancer. Patricia was born in New York City and resided in Denville, NJ since 1974. Patricia retired from Morris Hills Regional District in 2004, where she held the position of school nurse for more than 20 years. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Helen Whalen, Kathleen Williams, and Suzanne Maxwell and their loving father Patrick; four grandsons, Ryan, Brendan, Patrick, and Cesar; two brothers, Francis and John Heekin. Patricia’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Patricia on website), on Tuesday July 31st at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church, interment committal service at Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday July 30th at the funeral home from 2-7pm.
