Missing sweet Tante Gerd and cherishing all the special memories of her. I will never forget her love, her voice, and all the special times together chatting at her log cabin. I marveled at her beautiful handiwork, the skill and the time she generously invested to make handmade gifts for her loved ones...remember her legendary Christmas ornaments, the knitted mittens, blankets, sweaters, etc? I have the norweigan sweater she knitted for her brother Rolf (Dad) when he was a young man, which my brother Scott and I also got to wear as teenagers. Having these items are like having a part of her heart and so I will cherish them always. And boy did she love her kids, grand-kids and great-grand-kids. She was so proud of you all and you enriched her life! I'm so proud of her! Tante Gerd, You'll always be in my heart. Love, Luanne

I can't even begin to share the wonderful memories that Hanna and I both have of Gerd. I am so sorry that she is gone but now all that she loved have a super guardian angel looking out for them. We send our love to the family. We loved Gerd so much.

She will be missed. She always looked out for me growing up and often spoiled me with milk and cookies, even on Halloween she always had a "special" candy bar set aside for me. May she RIP.

Tante Gerd was an amazing woman! She was like a "2nd" mor-mor!!! I will miss her kindness, I will miss her stories and I will just plain miss her! Rest now sweet Tante!!! We will miss you and always remember the fun times we had with you!

My brothers and I were so amazingly blessed and lucky to have two of the most loving, caring, kind and generous granparents. We will miss our Mor-Mor very much, but are content with the knowledge that she is in a much better place now.
