Barbara Lash Leahy posted a condolence
Monday, August 6, 2012
I was just thinking of Howard, his father, as I was researching the Lash family ancestry online. Howard gave my father information years ago about the Lash family roots. Then I came upon this obituary. So sad. Ralph was my third cousin and neighbor. I have many fond memories of when we were kids, playing all kinds of outdoor games at the bottom of Lafayette Place. My heart goes out to his family. <3

Luanne Lash, Dear Ralph, I am at the cemetary every day for you and Douglas. Saying a prayer for you both, I am sure you are there watching over me, to. I miss seeing you passing by me in Denville, and beeping. I always seen you especially when you came down to my work, to pick up presents, for Klarity, and Journey, and we talk about Christina and how our beautiful granddaughters Klarity and Journey were doing. We would always see each other in the A&P parking lot or in the store, and we would laugh, about something that day. . Every time i see a truck go past me, I think of you. Its so hard to believe that you are with Douglas now. Rest in peace. You had a goodnight passage to me. Do you remenber? At night time shine a light on a star and send me a message. Forever and ever. Love Luanne

You left us so suddently we didn't have the time to even say goodbye. It was a shock. I keep waiting for you to walk in the back door and sit on the step playing with Mindy and Sophie. As brother and sister we did our share of fighting when we were young. I would blame you and you would blame me. As a joke, you use to sneak your army men in my cupcakes when I would bake and surprise me (Steven K and Teddy R would remember that). Going fishing with daddy for catfish, I was afraid of the worms so you would help me put them on the hook. I have soooo many memories and they will never fade (Atlantic City and car shows). We have always been very close to you & Christina and now also Alden and their beautiful girls. John, Jason, Rich and I will always watch over them, we will especially be there for Christina. Rest in peace Ralph and knowing you are happily reunited with Douglas and daddy makes this shock a tiny tiny bit easier. We love you always. Your loving sister, Joyce

There are no words....just last week we were sitting on the beach and talking. This just doesn't seem real. My heart goes out to my cousin Georgiann who loved him and stood by his side for 9 years and was planning for her permanent future with him. My parents are deeply saddened by tje loss of Ralph, and it will be so sad to know he will never be coming back to South Jersey for a long weekend to visit with us. May you rest in eternal peace Ralph and may the Lord watch over you and Douglas as you two are united once again forever. I will take care of Georgiann through this and I thank you for giving her a happy life, wonderful memories and the "family" she so wanted. We will miss you.
Love,
Marla
