Catherine Whalen, 82, died her residence in Denville, NJ on Sunday July 1, 2012
Catherine was born in Newark, NJ and was a longtime resident of Denville. Catherine was employed at Western Electric in Kearny as an Engineering clerk, and at Advance Pressure Castings and Saint Clare’s Hospital both in Denville as a Payroll Clerk. Catherine was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church Denville, NJ.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband Michael James Whalen and her son Kevin Patrick Whalen.
Catherine is survived by her son Michael Whalen.
Catherine‘s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville,NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Catherine on website), on Friday July 6th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, NJ, committal and interment service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday July 5th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations to the Joey Bell Fund, 15 Myers Ave., Denville, NJ 07834 would be appreciated.
