Obituary of Margaret Ambry

Margaret "Marge" M. Ambry, 93, of Denville died Thursday May 3, 2012 at home.
Mrs. Ambry was born in New York City to the late Charles and Margaret Sidun. She was educated at Carteret High School, Newark State College and New York University where she received a Master of Arts degree. Mrs. Ambry retired after 20 years as an educator with the Parsippany Troy Hills School District, Parsippany, NJ.
She was an active member of the community and volunteered many hours at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Mrs. Ambry enjoyed traveling together with her beloved late husband Dr. Edward J. Ambry. They visited Europe, Asia, Antarctica, Africa, Central and South American and most of the United States, Canada and Mexico. She and Ed were active members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club and pulled their Airstream trailer to destinations from Alaska to Mexico. Mrs. Ambry enjoyed sharing their adventures in travel with family and extended family as well.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward J. Ambry and her daughter Dr. Margaret K. Ambry; a sister, Veronica and three brothers, John, Albert and William Sidun. Marge is survived by her daughters, Karen M. Ambry Miller of Allendale and Susan Ambry and her husband Juri of Landenberg, PA; her grandchildren, Richard A. Miller and his wife Nilay of Dubai, Robert E. Miller of Greenville, NC, Dana A. Elmquist of Brooklyn, NY and Katherine A. L. Muller of Landenberg, PA; her sisters Marie Pawlak of Greenville, NC and Irene Sidun of North Brunswick and a brother Cy Sidun of Navesink. She is also survived by a great granddaughter, Aylin Miller and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of Marge's life will be held on Saturday May 26, 2012 from 12-1PM with a service following at 1PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes 612 West State Street Ithaca, NY 14850-3308.
