Obituary of Eleanor Wilson Rodman

Eleanor (Streat) Rodman, age 92, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012, at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. She was born in Mt. Lakes and was a graduate of Boonton High School. Over the years, she also resided in Boonton, Chester, Whiting, and finally Mt. Arlington, NJ. Eleanor had been a Secretary at the County College of Morris in Randolph for many years until she retired in 1979. She served her country in the US Navy during WWII, where she met her husband of 66 years, Woodward Kay Rodman, who passed away in 2010.
Eleanor is survived by her loving daughters, Periann Rodman, of Oak Ridge, NJ; and Marilyn Monforte of Dacula, GA, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandaughter. Eleanor's daughter Gini also passed away in 2010.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2010, at 1:00pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, 07834. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801.
