Mauro spent a total of forty years within the food industry, 13 years of which were with Buitoni Foods Corp. in S. Hackensack, NJ as director of operations then retired in 2011 after 23 years with Unilever LLC in Englewood Cliffs NJ, as a manager of food service equipment development & support for their North American operations. Using his ingenuity Mauro received 7 patents that sustained growth and set new standards of innovation and excellence in his industry. One of his greatest joys in life was helping others realize their dreams and aspirations.
Mauro Mordini is survived by his dear wife Sandy, his step daughter Miya Lin, mother-in law Jen & his brother in law Tim Lin; his beloved sister Lucy and her husband Robert; his brother Frank and his wife Josephine; his ex-wife Patricia Mordini and son Michael and his wife Roseanne and his grandchildren Gia and Alexxa; he is also survived by his ex-wife Maryann Arney and two sons Joseph and Daniel. Mauro is also survived by his niece Suzanne Apicella, her husband Don and their children Madison & Don Jr.. He is also survived by his niece Jennifer Nelson, her husband Derrick and their children Gianna, Gabriel and Lucianna.
Mauro was predeceased by his father Adolph Mordini in 1995 and his mother Anna (Santi) in 2008.
Mauro was a devoted member of the Chinese Christian Church located on S. Beverwyck Rd., Parsippany NJ. Previously he was an elder at the Parsippany Presbyterian Church on Rt. 46 in Parsippany.
His greatest wish in life was for understanding human shortcomings and for the continued life long learning, development, understanding, love, respect and forgiveness for all of us.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com on Sat. Jan. 28, 2012 at 9:00 am for a 12:00 noon mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Rockaway, NJ.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell St., Dover NJ 07801.
