I worked with Steve in the dental industry for many years. He knew his products, and was a great teacher. I have so many fun memories and stories. My thoughts prayers go out to his wife and children. He will be missed. Rest in peace.

As long as I live, I will always have memories of Steve and what he meant to me and how he helped me grow. These are not memories of ‘on this date’ Steve told me this and I reacted and from that point on I was a better person. These were more examples of how to act. Steve being the oldest, some of them were what not to do. He would do something, Mom and Dad would get mad, I would make a mental note not to act that way and by default, I would not make the same mistake. Not that I was a good child but Steve took many arrows in the back by being the oldest but he allowed us all to learn. These memories will always be mine and very private so I am not going to write about them here but realize that as I fall asleep at night, there will be a smile on my face, sometimes tears, as I remember my life on this earth and the time spent with Steve and how he helped me become who I am.
What do I take away from the past few years of Steve’s struggle? Many things-
He never complained.
I know when it is my time, and it will come for all of us, to deal with it in a dignified manner and without complaints. What is even more important is the comfort that I know Steve took over the past few years from the support of friends and family. To know that there is this kind of support, I know that it gave him peace.
Please always remember Steve and the fine memories you had with him but even more important remember the lessons he taught us directly and the lessons we all learned as an extended family with how to love and support each other during difficult times.
