Rob and Erica, please know that we feel such sadness for you at this terrible time. We loved getting to know your folks during the ISU years and will always remember your dad as a great and funny guy. I'm so sorry that his "Grandpa" years were cut so short.
And to Pat, I am just sooooo sad for you.

Andy and Family:
So sorry to hear about your dad. I remember when we were kids, your dad used to take us to and from basketball practice on those freezing Saturday mornings and weekday nights (and he never complained) when we played for Sacred Heart and Rockaway Twp. He was also there cheering us on from the stands during the games and would give the referees an earful for a missed or blown call. I remember when he put in the basketball court in your backyard and how we would play out there for hours. It was so cool that you guys were the only people I knew that actually had a bonafide basketball court in your backyard. By doing that, it demonstrated the love that your dad had for you, your brother, and your sisters, as he built something for you guys that you enjoyed doing so much in playing basketball. Your mom was the first person I saw at St. Clares Hospital after my daughter was born almost 3 years ago. As my daughter was being wheeled down the hall, your mom and I spoke like it was just yesterday, and she filled me in on the all the happenings with your whole family. She was so proud and excited to tell me everything and did it so lovingly I still remember the look of happiness on her face it to this day. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Your dad will be missed.
All Our Love,
Don and Sue Apicella
