Mary Lou Andrews, 75, passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital, Denville, NJ on Monday September 30, 2013.
Born in Jersey City, Mary Lou grew up in Kearny and was a graduate of Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington. Mary Lou lived in Belleville before moving to Denville in 1970. She was the Administrative Assistant at the School of Religious Education at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, New Jersey. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Mary Lou was actively involved in Girl Scouts for 55 years, and was the recipient of the Thanks Badge II. She was a member of the Catholic Committee on Girl Scouting for over 35 years, receiving multiple awards, including Companions on the Journey recognition, the highest award from the National Federation for Catholic Girl Scouts.
Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Andrews and her son, Mark Andrews.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Susan Haase and her husband Jay of Denville, Maureen Idleman and her husband Doug of Denville, William Andrews and his wife Lynne of Tampa, Florida, and her grandchildren, Timothy, Katie, and Sara Haase, Devon and Ryan Idleman, Allison and Michael Krummann.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday October 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ and on Friday October 4th at 9am for a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial services at St. Mary’s Church, with interment committal services at Denville Cemetery.
