Monna (nee Brane) Johnson, 92, passed away on Wednesday November 23rd at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton, NJ.
Monna was born in Selbyville, West Virginia, and was a longtime resident of Rockaway Borough.
She was a graduate of Harrisville High School in 1938. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway. She worked the family business Duraclean Home Services for over 40 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred G. Johnson and her daughter-in-law Ann M. Johnson both in 2005.
Monna is survived by her son Dale Johnson of Wharton, and her daughter Elizabeth Rizzi of Rockaway, and her grandchildren Kim Breheny, Michelle Rizzi, Andrew Johnson and Stephanie Bedotto, and her great grandchildren, Colin Breheny, Breann Rizzi, Kyle Breheny, Kait Breheny, and Brendan Curtis.
Monna’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Monna on website), on November 28th Monday at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway, Rockaway, NJ, interment and committal at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on November 27th Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
