Obituary of Patrick A Healy

Patrick A. Healy, 71, died on Monday Nov. 21, 2011 at his home in Denville, NJ. He was born in County Leitrim, Ireland and he came to the US in 1958, where he settled in the Bronx, NY later moving to Queens and finally to Denville in 1974. He had served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He started working as a carpenter for Macy's in Herald Square in NY in 1962 and later joined the Carpenters Union Local #608 in NY and continued working at Macy's until retiring in 1998. He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our lady of the Lake Council as well as the American Legion Post #390 both in Denville. He is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Jo Layden Healy, and three of his brothers Thomas, John and Charles Healy. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Margaret Courtney Healy, his children and their spouses Carol and Louis Maffei of Denville, Kevin and Katrina Healy of San Jose, CA., Deirdre and Nahum Romero of Rockaway, Michael of Denville and Matthew of Morristown, grandchildren Brian Healy, Christopher Healy, Tara Maffei, Anthony Maffei, and Bridget Romero. He is also survived by his siblings Michael and Margaret Healy of Yorktown Heights, NY, Denis and Mary Anne Healy of Sommers, NY, Kay McHale of Yonkers, Maureen Brennan of Ridgefield Park, NJ, Sis. Mary Perpetua (Matilda) of County Cavan, Ireland, Carmel and Jerry Fitzgerald of Westton, NY, and Rita and Donal Gormley of New City, NY, and 2 sisters in-law Eileen Healy of Yonkers, NY, and Joan Healy of Ridgefield Park, NJ. Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Saturday November 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church in Denville, NJ at 11:00 AM. Followed by burial in Denville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday November 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
