Obituary of Dorothy Godfrey

Dorothy McLean Godfrey of Salisbury, MD passed away on November 17, 2011 after battling a long illness. She was 57 years old. Dot, what she was better known as, was born in Englewood, NJ and raised in Denville, NJ. She was a 1972 graduate of Morris Knolls High School. Dot moved to Greensboro, NC after high school to attend UNCG. She eventually settled in Salisbury, MD where she raised three children with her former husband of 21 years, Edward Godfrey. Volunteering in her children's schools was something that Dot loved to do. Dot is survived by her mother, Dorothy McLean of Denville, also her three children, Ashley Godfrey and Joseph Godfrey, both of Virginia Beach, VA, Gracie Godfrey of Salisbury MD. She is also survived by her siblings, Michael McLean of Saylorsburg, PA, Mark McLean of Tracy CA, Marie McLean and Patty Deemer both of Denville. Dot is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ on Monday Nov. 21, 2011 at 11:30 AM for a 12:45 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church in Denville,NJ.
