Virginia J. De Young (nee Hargreaves), 87, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2011 at the Victoria Mews at Boonton Township, NJ
Virginia was born in Philadelphia, Pa and resided in Pequannock, NJ prior to moving to Rockaway Borough in 1944. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway for 50 years. She was grateful for all the support the church and her caregivers provided her.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband Marinus “Bud” DeYoung and her sister Marjorie Reichert.
Virginia is survived by her son Marinus DeYoung and his wife Marcia of Byram Township, her daughter Wendy Kimble and her husband Daniel of Cresco, PA, and her son Glenn DeYoung of Jefferson Township, her loving grandchildren Nicole Kimble Guide and her husband Garrett of Nazareth, PA, Kristin Kimble of Albrightsville, PA, Lindsay DeYoung of Clifton, and Kerri DeYoung of Brooklyn, NY, and her great grandchildren, Madison Rose, Carleigh Alexis and Ryler Thomas all of Nazareth, PA, and her sister’s in law, Pearl and William Densel, Alice DeYoung, Marie Hooper and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia’s funeral will be conducted at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light candle in memory of Virginia on website), on Wednesday November 9th at 11:30am committal and interment at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday November 8th from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
