I had Mrs. McNamara as my English Teacher back in the 70's and I will always remember her kindness and big smile. I always remember her smiling at all of us and making all of her students feel like they were the best English Students she ever had. May she R.I.P until we meet again.

I had Mrs. McNamara for both English and homeroom in 1970-1971 and loved her! While I was in her class, we discovered we were actually related, too.
Her first cousins on her father's side (Harold and Mildred Knag's children who were Jack and his siblings) were my father's first cousins on his mother's side. My dad's mom, Kitty, was the sister of their mom, Mildred.
Sounds confusing, but Mrs. McNamara and I always kidded about it when I got an A on a test or a paper...she would assure the rest of the class that it had nothing to do with the fact we were related!
Sincere condolences to her family.

Mrs. McNamara was a favorite teacher of mine while attending Valley view School, in Denville.
Helen E. McNamara made a huge impact on my life, both personal and professional. I will always have fond memories of her, both as a teacher and a lovely person.
With Sincere Condolences,
Timothy Wehr

After we learned of Helen's death, we lit a candle and remembered moments with her.She was a bright woman always and a kind person. She was a loyal friend to Anna (age 94) and continued to call regularly to check in with us in NH. We both loved her dearly and appreciate the years of friendship.
All best wishes to Paul and his family,
Doreen and Anna

I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. McNamara while I wored at Franscican Oaks years ago. She had a very infectious smile and grace. I enjoyed many conversations with her over the years of being there. 99 years, god bless her, may she rest in peace.
