I would like to send my sincere condolences to the Larsen family on the loss of Arnold. I knew Arnold from the Presbyterian Church in Rockaway. He was a faithful member and he always had a smile on his face. I enjoyed chatting with him on Sunday mornings. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Larsen family.
I knew Arnold from The First Presbyterian Church in Rockaway. I raised my kids in the church and every Sunday Arnold was there in his regular pew. He was a kind man always ready to greet you with a smile and a handshake.

I knew Arnold most of my life. I remember Arnold handing out silver dollars to the kids every holiday at family gatherings and I still have most of mine. He was a kind insightful man. Happy to share a story and quick to listen to others. He was an important man to my dad and left an indelible impression on his life. Arnold lived a productive and full life. May he rest well in Heaven and in the company of Ruth.

He was the gentle giant in my life, and will be missed by me. Holy jumpin.

I was one of the lucky ones. I had a dad. He taught me how to ride a bike, to swim, paint, measure, cut and assemble lumber, drive a boat, the rules of the road on the water, how to fix a flat on my bike, how to sharpen my ice skates and knives, ice skate, raise and climb a ladder, repair broken windows, how to fish, mix cement, everything I needed to know about a car, proper use and maintenance of tools of all kinds, don’t throw anything out because if you do your are going to need it the next day, that good enough is not good enough and how to work.
I remember “going for a ride” to the junk yards on the Kearny pike, letting me drive the 48 Ford rack truck in the junk yards at age 12, to the old north terminal at Newark airport to watch the planes, Port Newark to see the cargo ships, stopping at stash’s evergreen tavern on Hawthorne Ave. in Newark for the biggest and most delicious boiled ham and swiss on Jewish rye that you ever had, going to new york city driving down to battery to catch the ferry to Staten Island and eating the dirty water dogs, picnicking bathing and boating at Keansburg, stopping at Franks Heidelberg Hot dogs on the boardwalk in Keansburg for a grilled dog, Sipping dads Ballantine ale, moving various relatives in the rack truck riding in the back with the furniture. I could go on and on but I will finish with one last comment.
I hit the lottery when I was born to my mom and dad. I love you dad, Bobby
