Helen W. Urban (Woodard) passed away at her home in Denville, NJ on October 13, 2011.
She was 101 years old.
Born in Fairdale, IL, she had lived in Chicago, South Carolina, Maryland and the Jersey Shore prior to moving to the Lake Arrowhead section of Denville, NJ 50 years ago.
Helen was a registered nurse and worked as a nurse in the Morris County Health Department Aide to Dependant Children and also had worked at Sears and Roebuck Co, and E.J. Brock and Company, both in Chicago, the Baltimore Health Department, and she taught nursing at John Hopkins University, both in Baltimore, MD, she also worked at McGregor Donniger Sportswear in Dover, NJ. Helen was also a longtime volunteer for hospice, and a member of the United Methodist Church at Mount Tabor.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Edward Urban, who passed away in 1969.
She is also predeceased by four of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving son Thomas E. Urban of Denville, N J and her brother Norman Woodard of Eden Praire, MN, and her sister Elizabeth Johnson of Fairdale, IL and amny relatives, friends and neighbors.
