Patricia M. King (McDermott) passed away at her home in Denville, NJ on August 2, 2011.
She was 85 years old.
Born and raised in New York City where she attended St. Catharine's Academy, she had later lived in the Woodhaven section of Queens, NY before moving to Denville, NJ 39 years ago where she was a former member of the Senior Citizens group.
Her greatest loves were her family, her faith, and all things Irish.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband Edward J. King in 1993, and was also predeceased by her infant brother James and her sister Teresa (McDermott) Hegarty.
She is survived by her loving children Patricia E. King of Denville, NJ Edward J. King Jr. of New Britain, CT, and Marianne & James Powers of Sugar Land, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erin and Brendan Powers, her sister Mary H. McDermott of Simsbury, CT and 19 Nieces & Nephews
Funeral services will begin at 9AM on Saturday August 6, 2011 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834, and then going to St. Mary's Church in Denville for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover, NJ. Friends may visit on Friday from 4-8 PM. Please light a candle in her memory at: www.normandean.com.
