My grandma was spunky! I remember one time we were at her house and the Yankees game was on TV and she was so animated! One of the players she didn't like -- Derek Jeter -- was playing especially badly that day and she kept calling him Dammit Jeter. But my grandma also had the most caring personality. Whenever I would call her, she always remembered exactly what was going on in my life and always asked me how everything was going. I will miss her so much.

We will miss you, Grandma Lax! My favorite memory with you was our little phone chats...I knew I could always call you if I had a question or wanted to try one of your recipes. I will always remember how much you loved and sacrificed for your family, and I hope to grow up to express the same to mine.

Grandma Lax was a wonderful, fun, generous, and spunky lady who I really enjoyed knowing (she is my husband's grandma). We only met a few times since we lived on different coasts, but when we came to NJ to visit she was always warm and hospitable! I loved her laugh and her smile and her jersey "accent". She loved her family deeply and I am so grateful that my girls had her for a great-grandma (she was truly great!) and that they were able to know her and enjoy her. She is sorely missed and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Vicki and I shared a great love of animals. Every time I saw her she would always ask "how are the boys" (Ben and Jerry, my 2 cats). I will miss seeing her at the laundry and at Saint Clares Book Barn. Her feisty personality is being appreciated by the angels now. My sympathy, thoughts and prayers go to her family. Cathy
