John C. Schmidt "Clinton", 96, passed away at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ on Monday June 13, 2011.
Clinton was born in Denville was a longtime resident of Boonton, and the last year in Oak Ridge. Clinton was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during WWII serving in Central Europe. He was a Real Estate Director for the Shire National Co, in New Jersey retiring in 1980.
Clinton was predeceased by his wife Helen C. (Nee Vnencak) Schmidt in 2006.
He is survived by his son David Schmidt of Jefferson Twp., his daughter, Jacqueline Wasniewski and her husband Frank of Newton, his two grandsons, Christopher and Rick Schmidt, and his five grandchildren, Adrienne, Skyler, Levi, Appollo, and Athena, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday June 15th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Clinton on web site).
