I remember laughing when Mike referred to me as "the rookie" when I joined the teaching staff of MK in 1974. He always made me feel welcome, with his warm smile and kind words. We worked together for many years, and I respected him as a man who dearly loved his country and his family. It was easy to see that he really cared about our school and took great pride in his work . My prayers are with you.

Our connection to Mike goes all the way back to when Lorraine's mother remembers Mike as a teenager delivering meat to her apartment. Years later we had a close friendship through the Regional District. No one took care of Morris Knolls the way Mike did. He was a dear, dear friend who will be missed.

Mike was a gentle and generous soul. He became part of our extended family when his wonderful granddaughter, Allison, married our son, Brandon. We will miss his quick humor and wit. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the family while they mourn his loss.
