Dear Amal & family,
I pray for you every time I think of you, which is very often. Your husband was a real artist with the sub sandwich! Katie will miss the cheesesteaks :) Steve was always so very kind to Papa and Mama when they were in for lunch. When we visited and stopped in for a meal, we often saw Steve spending time talking with some of the older customers. What a very, very kind man. We were all very lucky to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love, Beth

Amou Chafic,
You left one starry night without any warning in sight.
We never was given the chance to say good-bye, it seemed our time just flew right by.
We know the angels were calling your name. Without you here, life will never be the same. You meant the world to us and there are things we will never know. You were an uncle with an everlasting glow.
You were so full of life, wisdom, and happiness. You were one who took away sadness. You always had faith in us and were always excited to see us succeed.
Your body is no longer with us, however your spirit still lives. We take comfort knowing you are our angel.
Not a day goes by when we do not think of you.
Amou Chafic you are our angel and we miss you greatly. <3
We love you,
Toni & Nick

Dearest Chafic,
We are speechless to tell you how we are feeling. And there are no words that could ever describe who you are and what you mean to us. We miss you Chafic, more than you can imagine. And though we cannot see you, you are always with us. In our over 40 years of cherished memories, together we have experienced everything that life brings which only made us closer. Now with this separation it is that much harder to say good-bye. Our family chain is broken and nothing will ever be the same. Forever in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers you will remain, until the day we meet again. Rest in peace and God bless your soul dearest brother.
We love you, Emile and Brenda

One of the hardest things to say to somebody is goodbye. You will forever be in my heart and in my mind. You were the most intelligent, kindest, and most loving uncle I could have. You taught me many things about life and played a major role in making me the man I am today. I will never forget everything you have done for me as well as the family. You were the glue that held us together, the smile that kept us smiling, and the man that kept us loving. I will never forget you Ammou. I love you.

Chafic, My Loving Brother and Friend,
Little did we know that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You felt my pain and you stood by my side when nobody cared to listen. You gave me strength to go on. Without your support, guidance and wisdom, I wouldn't have been able to survive. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. We love you very much. You'll never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
Love, Sonia

Amou, not a day has passed by this last week when you haven't been on my mind. None of this makes any sense to me and none of this is fair at all. You were the sweetest man I've ever known and you were always there for me not just as an uncle, but as a friend and mentor who's advice has helped me through many moments of my life. The emptiness that we are all left with is not something that can ever be filled and you will forever be missed greatly. I love you Amou<3

Mr. Ezzeddine, our hearts break for your family and you will always be remembered in our thoughts and prayers. You will always be a true example of what a father, friend, and mentor should be and a light for all who met you. Thank you for all the wonderful memories from my childhood, they were and always will be truely magical. From the amazing dinners (no one cooked liver with bacon and mushrooms like you did!) to the extremely humorous times. I will never forget the numerous Tums incidents, they still make me laugh. Thank you, Mr. Ezzeddine.

Steve, words cannot begin to express what my family and I feel; but I’ll try. We loved your diner. You and Amal created a warm and friendly atmosphere. Granted we did not know you outside the diner, but you were like family. We “followed” your sons go through college, the marriages, and your granddaughter. You will be missed, and, oh boy, so will your cooking. Healthy and delicious! Your fried chicken was awesome and, oh, that perfect, delicious, Belgian waffle (every) Saturday morning!! And not to mention your wonderful coleslaw and rice pudding. Your diner was a wonderful place to share with my Mom and Dad, it was truly a very special place. Amal: Our hearts go out to you. I am so happy that you seek God’s comfort; I pray God that your pain will ease with time. GOD BLESS you and all of your beautiful, wonderful family.

Dear Amou Chaffic, While I did not have the honor of getting to know you well--I had the honor of knowing your sons. Only a beautiful person with tremendous wisdom and humility can produce such wonderful men. Your legacy lives on through them, and you will never be forgotten.
Words cannot express my deep sadness for your family's loss, but hopefully they can take comfort in the memories and lessons you instilled. Allah Yirhamak Amou Chafic, and may you rest in peace.
To Auntie Amal, Said, Samer and Walid you are in our thoughts and prayers and we love you tremendously.

There are moments in life when one stands speachless, unable to find words to express his feelings, and that's how we all feel now. It's true that I haven't seen you much but it has never been true that distance kills love. I remeber mom stories about you when you were young in teta's house, I still remember every detail of your visit to Lebanon 26 years ago,and I will never forget the words you told me when I used to call you from Canada.I'll hold on to,and cherish those few memories I had for you.I'll keep them safe in my heart untill we meet.Ilove you a lot khalo and I'll miss you a lot more.May God rest your soul in peace, and may God be with aunti Amal and all the family to help them and us carry on.R.I.P.

Kenvil Diner was a Special place ,and where we enjoyed to go
Full of Love, Laughter, and others, my parents and I got to know
A warm and friendly business, a “Mom and Pop Shop” to me
Where We were welcomed with a Smile, eating lunch us one two three
I looked forward to the California cheeseburgers, with coleslaw on the side
It was always served with Your Smile and cooked with your husbands pride
It never crossed my mind, that these times would ever end,
Accept when God’s timing, would to bring my parents’ home to Him
It was Memorial weekend Saturday, and the Diners’ work was done,
You guys ended your day, like you did every other one
Only Something really different happened, a Horror to us All,
Steve’s Life was taken from us, by evil that was on call
My heart cried out to Jesus, Please comfort poor Amal,
How could She ever reason Why, this could happen to her matching Soul
It is sad for All the lives that were touched, by a couple so loved and dear
That your lives and Dreams were ended by unexplainable heartbreak and fear
God Bless you Amal, as I send this Hug to you,
with an extra Prayer for your Family, to help carry you thru
We Love You
Debbie, Jack, and Luella
