Obituary of Dolores E. Schletter

  Dolores E. Schletter, 79, passed away on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ.   Dolores was born on June 25, 1934 in Patchogue, Long Island, NY, daughter of Martha and Walter Brackelmanns. Dolores received her Bachelor Degree in Education from Montclair State College starting her career as a math teacher.  After she married Dr. Felix E. Schletter she was bookkeeper for the practice and enjoyed raising her family of 6 children in Morris Plains, NJ. She had a love for life, family, and friends including activites as Mahjong, line dancing, an avid bowler, gourmet cook, going to movies and travelling.   Dolores currently resided at Fox Hills, Rockaway Township, NJ where she  enjoyed the dear companionship of Arthur Gentile.  She was the devoted mother of David Schletter, Debbie Cobo and her husband Ron, Katherine Aasmaa and her husband Rein, Greg Schletter and his wife Marit, Laura Katzenberger and her husband Rudy, and Susan Plotts and her husband Bryan, and Mema to her cherished 13 grandchildren, Jasen, Alison, Julia, Aleksander, Mark, Michael, Sofia, Brandon, Nicole, Corey, Brianna, Tristan, and Kayla. She is survived by her 6 children and families, and her two brothers, Norbert and Walter Brackelmanns and their families.   Dolores’ funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle and share a memory of Dolores on website), on Friday September 6th at 9am for a 10am Mass and Burial service at St. Bernard’s Church, 22 St. Bernard’s Drive, Wharton, NJ, committal and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday September 5th at the funeral home from 4-8pm. Those so desiring may send flowers or a donation to the Carol G.
