We were little girls together, living across the street from each other growing up. I am devastated to hear the news of Margaret's death. Our treasured time together was running through sprinklers, jumping rope, playing potsy, sharing secrets, learning to Lindy. She grew into a gracious and lovely wife and mother. Clearly her family was her focus. M, I will miss you every day.

Dear Len, Melissa, Beth and Patrice ~
I knew and loved Margaret (Maggie) since our "teenage" years! St. Agnes' loss was South Side High School's gain and I met Maggie when we were
juniors in high school. I remember when she first met Len, and times we shared on Len's boat on Long Island Sound, the first driving trip we took without parents when 33 or 4 "girls" drove to Washington DC. It was spring time and the cherry blossoms were "rioting"! We stood at the tomb of the unknown Soldier and explored Mt. Vernon and Williamsburg. I was so excited when Margaret entered nursing school. I was
elated when "despite all odds", Margaret and Len married. I guess it worked out after all in spite of all the nay-sayers! Although we never lived close by again, we managed to stay in touch and remain important in each others lives for over 50 years. To say I will miss her is so inadquate.
Sending you all a hug and love to help mend our broken hearts ~ Andye Ladmer

Our Dear Len & Family:
True beauty lives on, transcending the shackles of corporeal life. Though she has departed our world, Margaret continues to illuminate it within the souls that she touched and the lives she altered. However- we know that, when the dark clouds of grief recede, we will all see her vibrant colors smiling down on us in the rainbow of forever.

Dear Len,Melissa, Beth, Patrice & Angelo, We're so sorry to be sharing our thoughts in this way, we're still in shock over your loss; our loss as well. We just always thought we had plenty of time left for Margaret and I to grow old together. Sadly, I will now not ever have my trip to the beautiful rural areas of Nj or a promised return to Pennsylvania Dutch with Margaret. Somehow we all just assume that life will go on for a long time. Margaret and I were bonded in special circumstances by family tragedy as young children. We'd done so many things together in earlier years with the plans and expectations that there would just naturally be more time to enjoy the freedom of discovery together. Now in the master plan for all our earthly lives, Margaret and I walk different paths, hers is heavenly now. We hope you'll all find peace someday soon knowing that she loved you well and still. Though her physical presence is not here, she will always stay close in your hearts, Love,Terry & Chris

I knew after the first Sunday dinner that I was invited to, that not only was Patrice a keeper...but the whole family package was one that I would be crazy to let get away. Mom NEVER left anything out. Enough food on Sunday night to put any restaurant to shame, enough plates and glasses for every occasion, cookware that could choke a culinary institute,...you name it...it is there, and dinner during the week...you were never "on your own."
Margaret's agenda...was everyone else's...
My Mother-in-law's thoughts...were never of herself...
Mom's wishes...were always for someone else...
I cannot say enough about the woman who could never give you enough...
Margaret,Mom,Maggs,Maggie,My bride,(as Len always calls her)Magda, (as Megan used to call her) or Gamma, (as Alex calls her)...we may have called her by different names...but we all love her just the same.

Mr. Levy, Beth, Patrice and Melissa. My heart breaks for all of you. Your mom was such a wonderful person. I can't even count the times that I was at your house waiting patiently for Beth and watching your mother cook (to this day, I use her green bean recipe),paint or reign over the chaos that was the Levy girls. I loved all the times I spent over there and how your mom always made me feel a part of the family. She raised 3 beautiful and talented girls that I am honored to call my friends. I hope the sadness passes quickly and the wonderful memories last a lifetime. I am so sorry for your loss. Please remember that she continues to live on in each one of you.
