William E. Burtchaell Jr. of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away at home on Thursday January 20, 2011. Bill was born in Maplewood, N.J. on July 1, 1935 and lived in Denville, N.J. with his family for most of his life before retiring to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He was 75 years old.
Bill graduated high school and became a technician in the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry. He worked for Spartan Oil Company for 21 years and was enjoying his retirement. Bill was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife. These passions and his appreciation of nature lead to many camping and fishing trips with his family. Bill was also fond of country music and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his children: his son, William E. Burtchaell III and his wife Mary from Marathon, NY, his daughter, Carole Ann Inscerra and her husband Robert from Piperville, PA, and his son, David Burtchaell from Mine Hill, NJ. He was a grandfather to David and Alyssa Inscerra, and David Thomas Burtchaell. Cherished brother to his sister Marilyn Smith. Dear uncle to 4 nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834 on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Please light a candle in Bill's memory at www.normandean.com.
