Although I had only had the chance to meet Mr. Prutting once it was evident that he had lived a very happy and successful life. He was very kind and made me feel welcome to the family gathering last Christmas. It was apparent how much his entire family loved him. My deepest condolences go out to the Prutting family.

Jim was a Great Man!. He Lived a Great life. He raised a wonderful Family, who loved Him very much. Got to do for a living what he loved (art). He served his country and his community, and was humble about it. He was admired and respected from his friends, neighbors, and affiliates. Now, He is with God..... Mourn not so much his passing, but celebrate a life well-lived!

I have gotten to know Jim as a Brother Knight and fellow Ecaristic Adorer during the past ten years. I have always admired him him as a faith filled, loving, selfless, devoted Christian. The type of man that I can only hope to be one day. I will remember fondly seeing Jim always serving St Mary's and God's people in one way or another. He will be greatly missed at this years March For Life and and by all who knew him. May he forever rest in peace in the splendor of the kingdom he served so devotedly.

With age and experience I have become increasingly convinced that I am part of the best family in the world. Uncle Jim was always very generous with his time when we were kids growing up. And over the years he has provided all of us with an example of how to follow convictions, and words, with action. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Aunt Joan, Charles, Kathy, Eileen, Tom, Jim, Stacy, and James, we love you all.

To the Prutting family… my heartfelt condolences.
I’ll always remember Jim as a man of integrity, decency, unshakable faith, kindness and charity, who loved his family and his country.
Jim also tied the absolute best trout flies you will ever find. Every time I set foot in a river or a stream I think of Jim. I know this will always be… and I am thankful for it.
He will be missed but never forgotten.
My love to you all.

James Prutting was a loving and giving man. I cherish all of my memories of him, especially those of him playing Santa Claus at our school. The children were instinctively drawn to him because they could feel his goodness and kindness. He always stole the show at our Christmas Concerts. Even the adults cheered for Santa and wanted to shake his hand. Mr. Prutting was much beloved at St. Pat’s even though most of our students only knew him as Santa.

Jim was the essence of Christmas for our family, he was the "real" Santa Claus for our children. Each year they would climb up on his lap at the Apple Valley Inn and share their deepest secrets with him, knowing full well that their wishes would be granted! His kind, caring and generous spirit will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Prutting Family,
My condolances are with you all. There is never a good time to lose a loved one but the Christmas season is particularly difficult. I have nothing but fond memories of Bingo Kitchen duty at St Mary's with Mr Prutting manning the stove apron and all. His smile and positive attitude were contageous! I know for sure that there was a bit re-union of the Bingo team members on Jan 4th in Heaven. RIP Mr Prutting I am sure your wings work just fine. My appologies to all the family that I will be away on business and unable to honor you and your Dad on Tuesday. Will say a little prayer at 10am on Tuesday morning for all of you that you find some comfort in knowing what a great man Jim Prutting was and what a fine family he has!
