In Your Hand
JUST A FEW WORDS FOR A MAN WE ALL LOVED.
JUST A FEW WORDS CAUSE HE’S BEEN TAKEN ABOVE.
YOU GAVE US JERRY FOR SEVENTY TWO YEARS,
THEN YOU TOOK HIM HOME
THROUGH MUCH SADNESS AND TEARS.
HE WAS A GREAT BROTHER INLAW,
WE FELT WELCOME WHEN THERE.
HE CLEANED UP OUR MESSES
AND DROVE US EVERYWHERE.
I WATCHED HIM TAKE CARE OF MY SISTER,
HE LOVED HER FOR FIFTY ONE YEARS.
HE WAS THERE EVERDAY FOR HER,
AND ALL COULD SEE, HOW MUCH HE CARED.
I SAW ALL THE HAPPINESS AND PAIN THAT
THEY SHARED.
THEY STOOD AS A GOOD EXSAMPLE
TO THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDS.
THEY SHOWED HOW TRUE LOVE NEVER GIVES UP,
BUT ALWAYS WILL STAND.
WE WILL MISS HIM A LOT,
AND WE’RE SORRY HE’S GONE.
BUT HIS WIFE IS IN GOOD HANDS
WITH THE CHILDREN AND GRANDS.
SO, LORD I GIVE BARBARA TO YOU.
BLESS HER AND KEEP HER,
HOLD HER IN YOUR HAND,
HELP HER TO STAND.
LORD I LEAVE HER
IN YOUR HAND.

We will always remember Jerry and his quiet and caring nature. We enjoyed the times we were in his and Barbara's company at different functions. God bless you Jerry, you are at peace now.
