Obituary of Ester Alfrida Kjekstad

Ester Alfrida Kjekstad, 101, passed away at her residence in Rockaway Township, NJ on Friday October 15, 2010.
Mrs. Kjekstad was born in Herad, Norway, she came to the United States in 1928 and settled in Brooklyn, NY before moving to the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway Township, NJ. She was a homemaker and a long time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Telemark.
Ester was predeceased by her husband Alf Kjekstad in 2006.
She is survived by hers sons, Stanley Kjekstad and his wife Hessie of Mt. Arlington, Earl Kjekstad and his wife Siri of Homborsund, Norway, her six grandchildren, Joanne Nesheim, Ingrid Kjekstad, Sonja Simoni, Victoria Kjekstad, Steven Kjekstad, and Diann Cunningham, her ten great grandchildren, Andreas, Gabriel, Alexandria, Kristine, Eric, Samantha, Christopher, Mattia, Shiloh, and Sara.
Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday October 24th from 2-5pm at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Ester on web site). All are invited to attend funeral services on Monday Oct. 25th at 11am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 508 Green Pond Road, Rockaway Township, NJ 07866 and in lieu of flowers make donations to the church.
