Obituary of Thomas Richard Strack

Thomas Richard Strack, 53, of Lake Hopatcong, passed away Thursday,
September 15, 2010 at St. Clares Hospital in Dover, NJ. Born February
28, 1957 in Germany, he was the son of Mary (Briscoe) Strack of Newport
News, VA and the late Albert Strack. Tom served his country in the US
Coast Guard. Tom had many accomplishments in his life, one of which was
starting quarterback for the 1974-75 Friendly High School Patriots. As
quarterback, Tom led his team to an undefeated 12-0 season and the Maryland
Class A State Football Championship title.
In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by his loving fiancée Kathleen
Vanderhoof, of Lake Hopatcong; son, Allen Strack, of Franklin; siblings,
Edward (Holly) Strack of Colorado Springs, CO, Claire Strack of Orlando,
FL, Kevin Strack of Orlando, FL, Christopher (Kathleen) Strack of
Branchburg, James (Melissa) Strack of Naperville, IL, Allison (Richard)
Penrose of Middlesex, Teresa (Robert) Richtmyre of Gainesville, VA, 10 nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and many friends.
Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday, September 21st from 4:00-7:00 pm
at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ. A
