Beatrice Sheldon Fischer of Parsippany passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Care One, in Morristown. She was 83.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Beatrice also resided in Farmingdale, NY until moving to Parsippany in 1971. She was an active Girl Scout Leader. She was employed at GE and Suburban Propane. A member of Denville Community United Methodist Church. Beatrice was in the quilting ministry that donated quilts to the sick and needy. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, playing bridge, and sailing on cruises.
Beatrice was the beloved wife of 62 years of Charles E. Fischer, and the devoted mother of Barbara Martino (John) of E. Longmeadow, MA, Kenneth Fischer (Sharon) of Medford, NJ, and Janet Viera (Michael) of Randolph, NJ. She was the loving and cherished grandmother of Timothy (Kristin) and Heather Fischer, and Mark and Craig Viera. Beatrice was the aunt to Gladys Furness and Carol Swanson. She is also survived by her dear friends Theresa Viera, Vilma Donnelly, and Rose Pavarini all of Parsippany.
