Evelyn S. Apolant, 95, peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side on July 20th . A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dover. Interment to follow at Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 26th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services. To send a message of condolence, please go to www.normandean.com Born in Jersey City to the late Eva and Robert Sappah Evelyn married the love of her life Russell and was married 38 years before his passing in 1980. She worked as a typist during WWII and leaves a legacy of always helping others. Evelyn worked tirelessly as both a Cub Scout Den mother and Girl Scouts as Co-Leader of Troop 22 with her best friend Ann Witkoskie. Evelyn was always active with the Lutheran Church; she was a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Teaneck and after moving to Rockaway, NJ in 1975 she later became active in Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover. Evelyn was a beloved member of the WOW’s, bible study and volunteered at the food kitchen or wherever else she was needed. Evelyn delivered meals on wheels and was a volunteer at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ. Evelyn impacted everyone she met with her warmth and kindness; she will be greatly missed and loved forever by her loving family, dear friends and church family. Predeceased by her husband Russell; she is survived by her son Dennis R. Apolant, daughter Barbara L. Pauli (Emil); grandchildren Barbara J. Przybylski (Mark), Jennifer L. Eastman (Kyle) and Gregory R. Pauli (Lisa). Loving great grandma to Lauren, Marc, Joshua, Caleb, Leif, Daniel and Lillian.
