Donald I. Peer, 82, passed away at home on Friday, July 12th. Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18th from 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services. Born in Denville to the late Munson and Marian Peer; Donald was one of three children. After his schooling, he entered the US Army where he would serve his country during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return to the states, he met and later married Faye Sheldon. The couple settled in Lake Shawnee and started their family. Donald worked for Howmet Alloy for many years before his retirement. He was an avid reader, gardener and loved to spend time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his sister Lois; he is survived by his loving wife Faye of 55 years; his children Scott Peer (Heidi) and Danielle Kaplafka; his grandchildren Alexanne, Savannah and Ian; brother Richard and many other loving relatives, neighbors and friends.
