As a former colleague of Dorothy's at the College of New Rochelle, I would like to add my tribute to a wonderful, cultured, caring woman and a great educator. She had a beautiful influence on her students and engendered in them a love for the German language. May she rest in peace.

Dr. Hufman was my German Professor from '63-'67 and I have many fond memories of her,her style of teaching and especially her gracious invitations to her home. She made me teach a junior class at one point and that's how I fell in love with teaching - am still teaching one class of German.

Dorothy Hufman was a beloved and very respected professor of German at the College of New Rochelle. Her integrity and generosity to students and the college are well-remembered.
