Elaine was a beautiful person filled with spunk and zest for life. I have two very nice memories of her. The first is a Thanksgiving my family and I spent at her house with my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Greg, and cousin Liz. The second was more recent. I had a nice lunch with Elaine, my grandmother, and my Aunt Debbie at Charlie Brown's in Denville. It was a nasty, rainy day outside but the company and conversation made up for all of that. Rest in peace Elaine, you will be greatly missed. Love, Arielle

So sorry to hear of the passing of Elaine. She was so easy to talk to and made you feel like part of the family I will always remember my one way driving trip to Florida with her and Kris. I had always said I would NEVER drive more than 8 hours in a car again...but somehow I couldn't say no. I knew it would be a fun trip with lots of interesting conversations. The time just flew by! I will always remember it.

Auntie E you were always my favorite and Uncle Gig too. I have many memories of our families together but one comes to mind the most. I was just a little girl spending the night at your house in Kris's room on a cot. I had a terrible cough and you came in and woke me to give me some yucky medicine, You said this will help the cough stop, it was like magic i was fast asleep.
You will always have a special place in my heart Auntie, may you rest in peace!
All my love,

It's funny, I went to the wake last night feeling so strongly that I knew Grandma Elaine. I have such vivid memories of her hugs and her smile, and days running around the beach and concession stand at the lake. I found I wasn't the only one who oddly remembered Now and Laters as the candy of choice back then. But then after I found out/realized it has been about twenty years since then and it had really only been a couple of summers at an age I barely remember anything else ( I was 4/5ish) and it sturck me how amazing a woman this was to have made such an impression of love and joy on me that I will take with me forever.

To Darlene, her sisters and their families... Darlene and I were friends in fourth grade. Just about every day I walked down Cliffside Trail to their home and go to school with "Dar". What I want to say is that I have been trying to make a bagel and Cheese Whiz taste good since then and they have never been as tasty as Mrs. Moores. I remember sitting in the kitchen while she conversed with other people in the house and always had a smile and a wink for me. Mrs. Moore would drive us to school with her klunky keychain and hum and sing and "rut-ta-ta" the whole way like we were best friends all squeezed in together in the front seat of her Torino. She always had an ear to listen and a kindness that is so very rare. God Bless You in heaven and may your journey continue to brighten all the souls you've touched.

My sincere sympathy to all the Moore Family. Debbie, it was an honor to spend this past Saturday with you & Mom. What a beautiful day sitting on the porch and reminiscing about old times. I know she so enjoyed it. What a fitting farewell to then go eat at her favorite restaurant with you, Greg, his mom. I'm so happy that I was able to be there with all of you. Recently, Elaine gave me an angel, one laying down reading which I will always cherish. She knows I love to read. How befitting! Elaine & George always treated me like a daughter and I will have such fond memories to draw upon. Going to there house after school with Debbie, I was always welcomed and they both made me feel well loved. The tea we shared (in large white cups) and the shaved ham sandwiches at the round table in the kitchen will remain in my heart forever. Elaine (Mom)I know you and George are having a great time smiling, dancing together now and watching over all your loved ones, family and friends alike. To you Elaine you will be truly missed. Thank you for the time I was able to be part of your live. Love, Linda

May you always have a counter full of friends to talk to, and a warm cup of Lipton’s Tea in your hands.
May you always have a pot roast and potato pancakes to cook, and a treat from Denville Dairy to follow.
May you always have Murphy’s oil to clean with, and an old pair of slippers to get the job done.
May you always have a camera full of film, and pictures of your family and friends to show around town.
May you always have a Joey Bella Beefsteak dinner to sell 50-50 and a food pantry to fill.

I have a number of great memories of Elaine, but the one that I most think about concerns "perchickies" (totally wrong spelling) We were both in Germany visiting Kris, Brian, Jakob and Ben and we spent a lot of time together talking and just generally hanging out. When we made these perchickies together one afternoon, I realized that Elaine was one special person and that I was lucky to have her in my life too,

Grandma Elaine - what a wonderful and special person you were to my family. The twins loved spending time with you when they were little and Diane watched them. I enjoyed the wonderful talks we had everytime we met. Peter used to talk about you and George and how great it was to work with you at the concession stand. You will be missed by so many. You inspired me in showing how it was possible to have a great love, lose that person, then still have a joyous and blessed life. We commented that they seemed to have more energy and zest than our whole table put together! LOL It is a nice memory to have. She will be missed. You are in our prayers. The Covert Family

When my parents chose Auntie Elaine to be my Godmother they certainly knew what they were doing because Auntie was there through every happiness and trial in my life. Her energy could alway light up a room and somehow everything was always so much better after a cup of tea. She was a constant inspiration to me. Some of my fondest memories are of her down the shore. I can still see her in the kitchen making her famous Macaroni Salad, Potatoe Pancakes or Sweet Tea or cracking crabs at the picnic table with Moe. Thanksgiving was always special too and all of us kids had the "cleanest faces" after dinner when the adults would sit around and talk. I know now that she is finally with her beloved Gig and at rest with all the the Koch's and McDermott's that have gone before her. She touched my life in more ways than I can remember and I will miss her always. Love ya Auntie~
