Elvy Vedvik, age 85, passed away Saturday March 13, 2010 at St. Clares Hospital, Denville, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 5, 1924 in Brooklyn, she worked as a secretary in Manhattan, married her Norwegian sailor, Olav Vedvik, in 1946 and moved to Rockaway Township where they have lived for 54 years.
She will be missed by her loving husband, Olav, and their 3 daughters:
Ellen (husband Peter) Lodato of Rockaway; Lori Vedvik of
Rockaway; and Kim (husband Greg) Dwyer of Whippany. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Erin(husband Rick), Chad, Kristi, Kari, Katie, Jenna and Mackenzie; and her 4 great-grandchildren, Jaden, Ashton, Kian and Milan.
Services will be held Friday, March 19, at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Rockaway Twp. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday, March 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Holy
