Benedict Gripaldi, 89, died at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare’s Hospital at Dover, NJ on Friday March 5, 2010.
Mr. Gripaldi was born in New York City, NY and was a longtime resident of Denville, NJ. He was a World War II United State Army Air Corp veteran obtaining the rank Staff Sergeant. He was the owner and operator of the Nationally Accredited Park Beauty School for 25 years. He was the Executive Director of the National Association of Cosmetology Schools at Washington DC, he retired in 1984. He was a member of the Indian Lake Community Club and Men’s Club, the Senior Citizens Shoot The Breeze Club.
He was predeceased by his wife Pauline.
He is survived by his son Peter, and his three nieces Christine Cappuccino, Joyce Wood, and Cynthia Flacks.
Relatives and friends will be received on Monday March 8th from 9am to 10:30am at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Benedict on web site), a Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, committal and internment services at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
