Born in Scotland, she and her family immigrated to the United States in 1930. In 1941 she married Frank Ruppel and in 1954 moved to Cedar Lake section in Denville where she resided for over 50 years. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, reading and fishing. She was a member of the Eastern Star and an active participant in the Cedar Lake Community Club and the Senior citizen Club in Denville. For a number of years, she worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. King and Dr. Javed of Denville. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1972. She is survived by her sons, William Ruppel and his wife Susan of Dover, and Robert Ruppel and his wife Karin of Randolph, her sister Jessie of Lakewood, her grandchildren, Heather, Sean, Megan and Kyle, and her great grandchildren, Cayson, Kalli, Mackenzie, Parker, Carter, and Tyler. Rena’s funeral services will be conducted at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Rena on web site), on Wednesday March 10th at 11am. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday March 9th at funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
