I will always remember the laughs that we shared and your caring smile. Wish I could have visited more this past year but remember you will always be in my heart. Say hello to Grandma Grassi for me. PS: My sister said that you used to force money on her. Funny, I don’t remember that with me! Haha, Love you.

I always loved exchanging Christmas cards with Zizi Antoinette. I always save special cards...I kept every one of yours. I'll miss receiving them in the future but will always put one out at Christmas in remembrance of you. Love you and God Bless you.

When I think of my Zizi Antoinette I automatically go back to when she lived with my grandmother. I remember her always wearing those black skirts and printed tops. I can see her walking down the hall or watching baseball or sitting at the kitchen table dunking toast. Then there are the memories of her playing cards at Margie and Ida’s or during the holidays at Zizi Anna’s. She was always very intense and serious when it came to her gambling. When she came to Arizona I had the good fortune of getting to take her to the casino out here. We played Blackjack together for hours. She always tipped the dealer and it seemed to bring her good luck too. Another fond memory I will have of Zizi Antoinette is when Jody and I were driving her around and we took her to Lake Pleasant. We were showing her the lake and the boats and beach area. All of a sudden she asks in a very calm manner, “What are those blue things? Are they toilets because I really gotta go?” Antoinette always had a way with words. We found her bathroom quickly. She always loved a good conversation too. We talked about her never marrying, not because she didn’t have offers but because she liked her independence. I think she was ahead of her time in regards to the women’s movement, a pioneer really. She could take care of herself and didn’t need a husband to do it. What will also allow her to continue to live forever in my mind is how I will always be able to joke with my sister Jody about Antoinette. I would always call Antoinette to see how she was feeling and what was new. Nine out of ten times she would ask if my sister told me to call her because she had left her a message. I would tell her no and try to continue the conversation. Antoinette would say, “Listen, call your sister and tell her to call me. I need to talk to her.” It would make me feel like I was Jan from The Brady Bunch. “It’s always Marsha, Marsha, Marsha.” So all that’s left to say is….. “Thanks for the great memories Zizi Antoinette! I love you and miss you! You will always be in my heart.”

I will definitely miss Zizi Antoinette! Ther are certain things about her that will always stand out in my mind.
I remember growing up, every time you would see her she would try to slip you some money. She even did the same thing with my girls. She was very giving and got alot of enjoyment from it. In recent years, she found it more difficult to accept things from others. She would always laugh when I told her "Remember Antoinette, It's better to receive than to give."
When she came to visit me in Arizona a few years ago, I remember how surprised I was when she went swimming in the pool and when she became friends with my dog Daisy. She would let Daisy sit on her lap all the time and pet her.
Antoinette was giving, caring loving, quick witted, strong willed, independent and adventurous. Ultimately, like the rest of us she just wanted to be cared about and loved - and she was.

I will miss my friend. We met about ten years ago. Every encounter she would offer a cup of tea or a hard boiled egg. She liked the numbers(049) and AC. She was a dreamer always wearing a smile. She always made you feel comfortable, she would go an extra mile. You see, I worked for her, but she made me feel like she worked for me. I Love You Jeannie

Betty Carroll and Paul Mooney have wonderful memories of Antionette and shared alot of stories. Our deepest Sympathy goes to the entire family, she always talked to me about her niece Jody and was very proud of her family, I'm glad that I saw her in Care One a couple of weeks ago and she remembered me right away. I think that one of her famous sayings was " Life in Beautiful'." Love, Betty and Paul

My father Cosmo was Antionette's cousin. Though I haven't seen her since I was a very young girl, I remember how sweet she was to my sister and me. I wish I could have seen her again but we lost touch after my father died. Heaven has a special angel now.

My mother (Nicky), brother (Frank)and I have many cherished memories of good times spent with Zii Antoinette esp. when she would come to meet us and spend the day in Atlantic City, the many visits we had in Paterson, Denville and the times she came to Endicott. We will miss our ritual every Sunday evening telephone calls (she was a great conversationist)and the calls in between (in her humerous way) whenever she heard on the news that we(in Upstate NY) were having a snowstorm! Our birthdays never went without a card and phone call on the day and a holiday never, ever went by without a phone call from Zii Antoinette. We hold on to all the cherished memories and conversations. She was the 'pillar' of the family and kept the 'link' between New Jersey and Endicott.
Zii Antoinette we will miss you and may you rest in peace.

Antoinette was not only my godmother, but another mother to me. From childhood to adulthood, she loved me unconditionally, and I never knew a more selfless person. For the people she cared about, her love was pure, and I was lucky to be one of them.
Antoinette loved playing cards, going to Atlantic City, and spending time with loved ones. The world has lost a genuine, loving, kind and giving woman. She was simply the best. Until we meet again, I love you Antoinette...
