We as many others knew Mrs. Murphy from the RRCC beach. She was always easy to strike up a conversation with and to the point kinda lady...If heaven has a Beach, she's already in her chair..

I met Edith just five years ago when my son approached her at the lake when he was 18 months old. My son took an instant liking to Edith and spoke to her every day as he headed to the stand for an ice-cream. My son is now 6 and I know he will miss her as much as my daughter and I will. I can't believe my beach buddy is no longer with us. Edith was a terrific lady. She will be greatly missed.

I remember Mrs. Murphy as a kind loving neighbor. Always seeing her outside working in the yard, or at the beach while growing up. She and Mr. Murphy raised a wonderful son in Brian.
May she rest in peace now that she's w/her beloved in Heaven.

Brian,
Haven't seen you since awhile before my family moved out of Denville back in the late 60's. I got word of your mom's passing via email. I remember you asking me to help you with your lifesaving course 1 day while we were in the lake, to which I obliged you. My deepest condolences to you and your family. May God bless & strenghten you.

She was my beach buddy for a few summers and talking with her I found out we both went to Demarest grammer school. Plus having the same first name use to make us laugh. Will remember the last time I saw her I met her for dinner with Dorothy at Murphy's Pub in Rockaway. Edith was a great lady in every sense of the word.

Brian, So very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing yet so glad I stopped for a visit
a few years ago. I knocked on the door and started to introduce myself, she said"get in here Barry" like I
thought I'd changed in the 30 some years since we last saw one another. Your mother was indeed the chairwomen of the beach, swim club, swim team.
Didn't we all have it great back on Edgewater Drive.
Enjoy your memories.
God Bless
Barry S.

Brian, You're mom was a welcomed enjoyable sight at Rock Ridge. We shared book reviews, easy chatter and many laughs. She was my sister sun-worshipper. Proudly, she spoke of you often. Her presence will be greatly missed. Many blessings to you and your wife. Debbie

Brian,
Will never forgot the years of encouragement and work your parents put into the swim program at RRCC. Your Dad as the "starter" and Mom as "clerk of course" They were a tremendous ispiration to us all. Your Mom stopped in at the club house for my Dads repast in October and she looked incredible the same as I remembered from the late 70's. My prayers will be that she has reached her goal in heaven will try to make the celbration of her magnificent life whenever it occurs.
