Sylvia M. Flannery, 94, of Boonton Township, died after an extended illness, August 14, 2009.
Sylvia was born April 10, 1915, in Harrison, NJ and was a longtime resident of Pine Brook and Parsippany. She was an avid volunteer at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ.
Sylvia was the beloved wife of 30 years to the late Farrell P. Flannery.
Sylvia is survived by her son Farrell E. Flannery and Daughter- in law Anne Marie, grandchildren, Erin Flannery Sekerak and her husband Jason of Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Ashley Flannery, of Morristown, Matthew Flannery of New York City, great-granddaughter, Ryann Marie Sekerak, sisters, Jean Opanowicz, Connie Cowley, and Theresa Walendzinski.
Sylvia's funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ wwwnormandean.com, on Monday August 17th at 9am for a 10am mass of Christian burial service at St. Mary's Church, Denville, interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday August 16th from 3-6pm.
