Angelo Thomas Marsella, 82, passed away at his home at Fox Hills, Rockaway Township, NJ on Wednesday July 1, 2009.
Mr. Marsella was born in Newark was a resident of Nutley and Flemington and the last 6 years at Rockaway Township. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Pacific during World War II. He is a 1974 graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University in Rutherford, NJ and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He was employed at ITT in Clifton for 25 years in the Communications Division, and he retired in 1992 from Unisys in Flemington, NJ from the Facility Engineering Department. He was a member of the ITT Quarter Century in Clifton, Flemington Elks Club, the USS Yorktown Assoc. CV-10, the Hunterdon County Planning Board, and the Raritan Township Board on Affordable Housing.
Mr. Marsella is survived by his wife of 59 years Isabel “Peggy” Marsella, his son Frank Marsella, his daughter Diane Zuccaro and her husband Michael J., his two grandsons Michael T. and Matthew Zuccaro, and his sister, Frances Melillo.
He was predeceased by his siblings Julia Marsella, Ann Santos, Antoinete Parsi, Teresa Poeta, Mary Marsella, Louis Marsella, and Lawrence Marsella.
Funeral services will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, please read full obituary on web site and light a candle in memory of Angelo, on Monday July 6th at 9 am for a 10 am Catholic burial service at St. Bernard Church, Wharton, NJ. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday July 5th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of the Visiting Nurse Assoc. of Northern NJ would be appreciated.
