Josephine S. Dicks, 85, died at Victoria Mews in Boonton, NJ on Tuesday April 14, 2009.
Mrs. Dicks was born in New Rochelle, NY and was a longtime resident of Rockaway Borough, NJ. She attended Morris County College and received her Associate Degree and earned her Bachelor Degree at Kean College. She was the Lincoln School Librarian in Rockaway and retired 16 years ago. She loved her garden and all her flowers.
Mrs. Dicks was predeceased by her husband Harold and her son Robert.
She is survived by her son, Richard Dicks and his wife Carol of Denville, her daughters, Shirley Rubino and her husband John of Bordentown, Beverly Sutton of Sparta and her fianc Dennis Arslanian, and Sharon Strada and her husband Joseph of Cape Coral, FL, her ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, her sisters, Betty Eivich and her husband Bill of Flagler Beach, FL, Phyllis Kleuser of Chester, OK, Diane Gornick and her husband Roger of Las Vegas, NV, and her brother Claude "Butch" Conforti and his wife Elaine.
Josephine's funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Josephine on web site), on Saturday April 18th at 9:00am for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Cecelia's church, Rockaway, NJ. Interment and committal services at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Rockaway, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday April 17th at the funeral home from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
