He was born in Jersey City and was a resident of White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Township. Bob served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy and was an awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ He was employed as a sales Manager for Handy and Harmon Specialty Wire in Maryland, and was presently owner of the McGregor Associates. Bob was a member of the St. Cecelia’s Church in Rockaway, NJ, and White Meadow Lake. He was the beloved husband of Geri , treasured father of Colleen and her husband Peter Norton, Robert Jr. and his wife Tammy, and Tracy and her husband Paul Gorman, and proud grandfather of Robert III, Ian Scott, Allison, Kelly, Kailey Rose, and Sarah Shea. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday April 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Robert on web site) and are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial service at 10:00am Friday Aril 3rd at St. Cecelia’s Church, Rockaway, NJ.
