Dear Aunt Maja, You have been such an important figure in my life. I treasure all the memories of our family growing up together. You had the patience to teach my left hand how to knit when no one else would take the time, you were there to comfort me when I was ill and could not make it all the way home from school, you inspired me to become a nurse. I will never forget the many letters and phone calls when we recalled the fun times our family had together after I moved to Texas. I love you and will miss you dearly. But now you are in heaven with Dad (Nisse) and all of your family. Love, Betty and Monroe

Dear Maja,
You have been both a big sister and a mother to me. I have so many special memories as we spent all those precious summers together in Rock Ridge. Later, we traveled to Sweden to enjoy the country where we share the best of roots. It was only a few weeks ago where we chattered in Swedish over the telephone. The nurses in the nursing home brought you to the nurse's station so that we could have this pleasure. Some day we will be together again, only then, with Mamma, Pappa, Henning and Nisse.
Blessings.............
Love,
Ami

My Aunt Maja (as I always called her) was the dearest, sweetest aunt to me. A year or so younger than my father, Henning Bernard pearson, she and he had many wonderful visits talking in Swedish about their favourite childhood experiences together. After my father's death, she told me many of these stories, and assured me over and over of my father's love. My prayers for the rest of the family and for her happiness in heaven.

My thoughts and prayers for the family of Marie Schmidt. What a wonderful legacy she leaves for her family and friends. She was a tribute to the Englewood Hospital School of Nursing program because of all that she achieved since her graduation in 1929. I will be happy to contribute to the Nursing Archival Center that already includes some of her photos and notes from the past.

Grandma~ I pride myself for being so much like you. You truely were the strongest woman I have ever met and probably ever will. I got my stubborness from you too! Tell us its black and we WILL say white! And win the argument too! I wish I got to spend more time with you, I wish I got to say good bye. I always told you that you were my Birthday Angel, and now you are my TRUE angel in heaven! You have always been in heart and will continue to be carried there until we meet again! OCTOBER 1 will never be the same but I will celebrate you every one from now on! I LOVE YOU ALWAYS! Shannon

Someone should take her picture and place it in the dictionary next to the definition for Grandmother as she was the perfect grandma. Grandma S, as we called her, was a fun loving woman who loved her family very much. I will miss her very much but know she is in heaven with her beloved Grandpa S, who is also missed very much.
