Obituary of Stanley Bednarz

Stanley John Bednarz, born 5 Nov 1977, passed into the Lord's Hands on Friday, 20 March.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father Stanley, his paternal grandparents, Anna and Charles Bednarz, his cousin John Cosgrove and his maternal grandfather John Eltvedt. Surviving is his mother, Linda Bednarz and grandmother Nan Eltvedt. Also Joan Cosgrove, Diane and Joe Miceli, and many aunts uncles and cousins from the Bednarz, Trumper and Eltvedt families. Also, his caring, loving Matheny family friends, staff and doctors.
Stanley was part of the Arts Access Program for several years. Most of his paintings are bold in both color and texture, often in deep earth tones. He became interested and involved in the sculpture program, and one of his pieces was enlarged for placement in the sculpture garden at Matheny. This piece was unveiled in 2002.
His artwork has been exhibited at the Nabisco Gallery, Robert Schonhorrn Arts Center, US Trust Company, and are a part of several private collections.
A memorial service will be held at the Matheny School and Hospital on Thursday March 26.
